COVID-19 is taking more families into poverty.
We understand it is a priority to work with these families to strengthen resilience and thrive.
To achieve this we:
- Build capacity and capability locally to provide access to regular Parent Cafe sessions to strengthen parent resilience, create positive social connections, access concrete supports when they are needed, enhance knowledge of parenting and child development and promote social and emotional competence.
- Connecting with the local community to strengthen resilience through a process of self healing. We listen through community conversations, we promote local problem solving and we support new ways of working that allow the community to heal and thrive.
- We work with the local early childhood education and care services to enhance their trauma informed practice, to provide access to technology that promote child protection, health and learning outcomes, and provide early access to local health, welfare and social support for children and their parents.
- We work with the early childhood education and care sector and local service system to co-design a sustainable integrated referral pathway to local early intervention services for children and their parents.
